Elevate Media Group has produced a series of commercials covering students from K-12. Elevate captured cinematic 4k content and edited it into impactful television commercials. Each commercial spot celebrated the unique and individual strengths of every student as well as the teachers and staff that inspire learning. The ads generated an outpouring of positive responses from parents, educators, and students over the years.

School District of La Crosse - "Be Unstoppable" TV Ad

The School District of La Crosse uses video to increase enrollment and raise awareness of the quality of education they provide. Schools are unique and provide an array of programs, tools, and lesson plans that can be highlighted through video. Videos are an effective way to recruit and attract new students, as well as to show current students the opportunities that are available to them. Videos can, of course, be viewed on TV, but maybe more effectively, shared online, raising awareness of the school and its programs.

COMPETITION HEATS UP

As the Mackinac Center for Public Policy points out in their report “Marketing Public Schools: Competition for Students Heats Up” from all the way back in 1999, proves high-end marketing for schools is not going away anytime soon. They go on to state that…

“Many Michigan public schools have never competed before. Families now have access to a larger selection of educational options because to the state’s charter school and public school-of-choice policies. As a result, many school districts are scrambling to come up with new and innovative ways to recruit and retain children, as well as the state funding needed to educate them. Administrators in Kalamazoo, Jackson, and Royal Oak are taking on this competitive challenge head-on by hiring private advertising and marketing professionals.

As schools encounter rising levels of complexity, professional advertising and marketing strategies “now appear to be suitable…” The first lesson gained by these districts is that, in an era of enhanced educational freedom, families must now be viewed as customers with options rather than as captive listeners. Kalamazoo Public Schools has learned this lesson by employing private marketing expert Alex Lee to develop an ad campaign aimed at persuading education consumers that their schools are the best product for the money.

While strong private-sector marketing does not guarantee increasing enrollment, many public school leaders realize that it is a vital and permanent part of helping their schools flourish in the new competitive economy.”

WHY

SCHOOL DISTRICT OF LA CROSSE SELECTED EMG

Video has become a great tool to help boost enrollment in schools. It is a powerful marketing and communication tool that can be used to engage potential students, parents, and the community. Video can help build a connection with the school and create an emotional and, more broadly, a community response. It can also show the school in a positive light and help to create excitement about the opportunities that are available.
